Hot off the press from the 2013 Inbound Marketing Conference is the announcement of HubSpot’s new solution for lead tracking and tackling. CEO and Founder, Bryan Halligan and Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder, Darmesh Shah call their new handy email marketing tool, Signals, and describe it as a unique realtime notification tool that lets salespeople, account managers or customer service teams know when and how to engage with leads by sending alerts from emails sent, website and CRM system activity and social media communication.
HubSpot recognized a few flaws in the modern-day sales process that motivated the creation of Signals. First, that present sales tools were out-of-date and did not targeted the needs of the sales representative. Second, that with information only a mouse click or finger tap away, consumers were finding the answers to questions on their own and sales reps were becoming less and less a part of the sales lifecycle. And third, there existed an increased risk that the consumer knew more about the product or service than the salesperson because of such easy access to information.
Salespeople required a tool that would boost efficiency within their sales process by creating a more inbound method for selling that was both personalized and informational for their buyers. And that’s just what HubSpot is delivering.
With Signals, account managers or service/salespeople will find useful tools like HubSpot’s lead revisit notifications, which are sent directly to the salesperson’s desktop when a lead revisits their website. This alert will illustrate what level of research a prospect might be conducting.
Email open notifications will track sent emails and let salespeople know when an email is opened or clicked through. Salesforce users will also be able to track sent emails and lead assignments through Signals for a more streamlined approach.
Signals will mesh with LinkedIn contacts to offer a unique capability that allows for contact flagging in order to receive notifications on the most important lead activity.
Designed with the salesperson, account manager or customer service team in mind, this incredible HubSpot original will be free to try, take only minutes to set up and is intended to help sell more!
